Community Fun Run

  • The Annual Cudgee Fun Run
Every year on the first Thursday in March, students, parents, staff and members of the
Cudgee community set off at 7am for the Annual Cudgee Fun Run. Participants choose to
run or walk a 1,3,5 or 7km circuit around the town. At the conclusion of the event the
school’s Parents’ Club provide an Easter themed breakfast for everyone to enjoy. Over the
years money raised from entry fees and sponsorship has gone towards different local and
school based projects determined by the Junior School Council, senior students and staff.

    2017

The 2017 fun run was held on the newly completed footpath along Dwarroon Road which gave people the option to tailor their run length to suit them and also made it a more social event. We raised $350 this year which parents club is putting toward resources for the school.

    2016

In 2016 the Fun Run raised $605.30. The students decided that this year the money would go
towards purchasing some soccer goals for school grounds.

    2015

In 2015 the Fun Run was held on 26 March in the early hours of the morning. Despite the
inclement weather the event raised $158 through the Easter raffle, $250 from the BBQ and
$230.70 from sponsorships. The sponsorship money raised from this year’s Fun Run went
towards promoting the safe crossing of native wildlife on the Princess Highway just outside of
Cudgee as part of the student leaders’ project.

    2014

In 2014 the inaugural Fun Run held at the school. The school’s Student Leadership group
decided to organise a Fun Run for the local Community in order to raise funds for Peter’s
Project. From this event students raised $1184 all of which they donated to Peter’s Project.
